Altitude Adjustment
After a solid 13 hours of work, which included dropping the subframe and basically replacing/upgrading everything there is to replace on the suspension of an e30, the coilovers are installed. It was an emotional journey fraught with twists and turns around every corner, and plenty of good bro-ing down at the shop.
I’m stoked to get the car a little closer to the ground, and the coils (FK Konigsports for those who haven’t been following the blog) handle nicely. There’s plenty of room to go down once it’s time to mount the RSs as well. I threw some 10mm spacers up front for perch clearance and put a pair of 20s in the back to even things out. Pretty stoked on the car for now.
The tires for the RSs showed up the other day and a steady stream of small maintenance/trim parts has been arriving at the door lately as well. Yesterday I purchased a tumbler to clean up the stock bolts so i can repaint them, it’s pretty sweet. After the bolts are in and tires are on, adapters will be on order and the wheels will be ready to roll.
before.
